CULTURE FIRST

CULTURE

TRUST + ENGAGEMENT

More than 90% of directors reported that Australian business needs to make improvements in relation to corporate culture. (2017 Director Sentiment Report, AICD)

Your organisation's culture is defined by your purpose, your vision, and your values … why you exist, your aspirations for the future and the behaviours that define your success.

When things aren’t working the way they should, it's usually because there is a disconnect between your ideal culture and what is occurring in the business.

Culture development or enhancement will involve collaborating with the Board and Executive Team to understand the desired culture, business goals, market, customers and employee mix to determine the strategies required to implement change and create an environment that will drive results.

The starting point for culture transformation projects is a comprehensive culture assessment using a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods to identify key issues and areas for improvement with the ultimate aim being improved business performance.

A culture assessment is the first step TO CURATE A CULTURE that will deliver results, provide competitive advantage, improve customer experience, and reduce risk.

It's not possible to make significant culture change without first knowing the current culture risks and successes, and identifying the culture change drivers for your organisation.

Our Culture Assessments are conducted over a four week period and include a comprehensive process involving audits, leadership interviews, employee survey and focus groups and evaluation of metrics, systems and processes.

HENRY REED will provide you with a comprehensive report detailing the results of the Culture Assessment and recommendations on culture development activities.

A culture assessment is the first step TO CURATE A CULTURE that will deliver results, provide competitive advantage, improve customer experience, and reduce risk.

Organisations undertake culture change for a number of reasons from crisis management, compliance, competitive advantage, social impact and financial sustainability to name a few.

Culture development or enhancement involves collaborating with the Board and Executive Team to understand the desired culture (purpose, vision values), strategic goals, market, customers and employee mix. This will determine the actions required to implement change and create an environment that will drive sustainable results.

“Very few organisations know WHY they do what they do.  WHY is not about making money. That’s a result. It’s a purpose, cause or belief.  The very reason your organisation exists.” Simon Sinek, Start with Why

You may have heard Simon Sinek talk about how organisations should “Start with Why” and truly understand their reason for being, or “purpose”.

A purpose statement, used properly, will engage and unite your employees, customers, shareholders, suppliers and business partners.

Discovering your Company’s Purpose is an enlightening journey that HENRY REED will facilitate, through your story-telling, to help you discover the heart of your organisation.

Your Company's Vision & Values are developed as a natural progression from Purpose.  The language and sentiment your team expresses during our workshops define the essential aspects of your culture.

A vision statement should be bold, simple and easy to remember and should reflect the purpose of your company.  Vision guides strategy development and Values drive the behaviours for success that are unique to your organisation.   To be effective, they must be embedded in systems, processes and defined so that all employees understand exactly what is expected of them.

The elements of Purpose, Vision and Values are essential for developing organisation culture and are used to influence all HR systems and process driving employee behaviour.

Defining your culture provides clarity, direction and certainly for all.

A well defined EVP that is aligned with the Company's Purpose and Values will attract and retain the best talent for your organisation.

Your employee value proposition or EVP presents information to your employees and potential employees about the value gained by working for you.

Your EVP is your point of difference in attracting and retaining quality talent and should align with your Purpose, Vision and Values and drive behaviours that support the achievement of your strategy.

An EVP is developed by assessing the value employees will gain across the 5 attributes of: career & development opportunities; leadership & team; job satisfaction; organisation profile; rewards & benefits.
